I got sober decades ago and haven't looked back. (except during the therapy I've indulged in over that same time period: which is A WHOLE HELL OF A LOT!)

Congrats on your sobriety. I quit drinking a couple of weeks after TFG was inaugurated. My drinking had increased quite a bit after the 2016 election and I’m not sure I would have survived those 4 years if I kept drinking. It will be 8 years in February and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. I have absolutely no regrets about not drinking. And I like me a whole lot better sober.
