In a poll that should shock no one with a pulse, an icky amount of GOP’ers polled believe that political violence is required to “set the country right”, or some shit like that. I mean, if that doesn’t sound like some nazi ass shit, I don’t know what does.

I have serious questions on this for the rapidly disappearing “establishment repubs”, like my Dad. You know, the kind of Republican that arose when the party loved Rae Rae and believed in national security, told Russia to fuck off, and loved immigrants (because they are great for making rich people richer). Where the fuck have ya’ll gone? Speaking of MIA -My dad has been pretty silent in our political discourse chat recently, I have to believe its because he’s embarrassed by his grand ole shit stain of a party, as he should be.. and I would be as well. (FFS I used to be one of ‘em).

D is an old timey conservative that cares about national security and tax cuts. That’s about it, and not in that order. It was refreshing that he was also horrified by the events of Jan 6, and the continued republican attacks on women and LGTBQ people. Fuck, most of his coworkers are women/gay and/or Jewish,,, the tikki torch crowd really isn’t his vibe. But still, he can’t give it (the GOP) up. What is it about republicans’ inability to admit they are wrong about something? It seems to be a feature, not a bug.

Back in the day, the actual conservatives were mostly libertarian and didn’t care about the modern GOP’s bizarre culture wars. Abortion? Who cares…. its your body your choice. Ironically, Ronald signed one of the most pro-choice bills ever when he was the governator of California way back in da day. Civil rights? It was the original (republican) party of Lincoln that fought the good fight in the civil war. But you already know all this.

Bottom line is, the Magas think all this progress is ruining their women-hating nazi incel lives and are hell bent on throwing a wrench in it. The burn it all down crowd is primed like a dry pile of tinder next to some high school kids flicking lit cigs into the brush. When republican shit bags tell you what they want to do, believe them.

The maga disease has morphed the republican party into something violent and dark. The hatred directed at women and LGTB people is palpable - and even more compounded against POC. THEY FUCKING HATE US. They hate women enough to force raped 10 yr old girls to give birth because apparently she’s too young to have an abortion. But not too young to be a mother. They laugh when a trans teen is murdered by their peers. The idolize a doughy white incel teen that murdered BLM protesters. And these people are increasingly vocal on the internet- I’ve already gotten some fun comments from some loser nazi still living in grandma’s basement.

The modern GOP is vile. It is a violent movement that is set on terrifying any opponents through any means possible. It’s allowed the worst people to be openly horrible because their dear leader gives them the permission to do so. And of course the press is fucking asleep, covering this election as if it’s just some regular horserace rather than what it ACTUALL IS: the fight to preserve democracy. Not just here in America, but in the world. Because we all know what would happen if Orange Julius Caesar takes over- he’ll hand Europe over to Vladdy daddy Putin on a gold platter. The anti-ukraine/anti-american brainwashing operation is already underway on X-chan. You can’t swing without hitting a fucking russian troll or a nazi on that fucking platform.

Look. I’m not a life long liberal or democrat. Damn, I voted for Bush twice and against Obama twice because I was a brainwashed bigot. Luckily, things have changed. I can see the shift in the parties and the right has gone completely off the fucking rails. FFS, if project 2025 doesn’t motivate you to vote blue no matter who, then you’re complicit in the hate and inevitable violence that will happen if they manage to take power.
